The Presbyterian Center for Children (PCFC) strives to provide a quality, safe and caring environment that nurtures children of all backgrounds through the combined efforts of teachers, families and church members. We encourage parental and community involvement in the developmental growth of children to reach their full potential while knowing they are loved by God.
PCFC uses the HighScope Curriculum, which is based on the principles of active learning and support of a child's positive interactions with adults and peers. The curriculum is a comprehensive model that addresses all areas of development.
PCFC cares for children ages 6 weeks- 13 years old, and has 8 classrooms. Children are moved to new classrooms using our Child Care Transition Plan, which is based on the child's developmental progress, child/teacher ratio, and room availability.
PCFC provides a balanced breakfast, nutritional morning and afternoon snacks, and warm, nutritious homemade lunches. We are prepared to offer iron fortified formula, infant food, and cereal for those who are interested, along with table-food to children 6+ months.
HighScope Curriculum is based on the principles of active learning and support of a child's positive interactions with adults and peers. The curriculum is a comprehensive model that addresses all areas of development through eight content areas and key developmental indicators (KDIs).
